About Me
Hi, I’m Rachel - a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and psychometric assessment expert who is on a mission to end burnout.
Even as a Psychologist, I Didn’t See My Own Burnout Coming.
I’ve spent my whole career studying and analysing behaviour in the workplace. I’ve completed countless psychometric assessments to understand myself and have coached hundreds of leaders to help them navigate the pressures of the modern working world.
With all this insight, I thought I was very self-aware — until, in 2015, I experienced severe burnout.
The Wake-up Call
My wake-up call was physical.
My body completely broke down, and I was unable to work for many months.
Although it felt sudden, looking back, the warning signs had been building for years.
It made me realise how different things might have been if I’d had a way to recognise the early signals.
Had I seen them sooner, I could have taken action long before reaching a crisis point that took years to recover from.
Stress has become normalised — even rewarded in some workplaces, making it hard to see when it’s a problem.
What I Learned
Drawing on my professional expertise in psychometric assessment design — and a two-year research project — I developed AURA, a tool to measure burnout risk, identify early warning signs, and guide practical remedial action.
But personal insight is only half the story.
While my own behaviour and lack of awareness contributed to my burnout, so did the workplace environment around me. It became clear that tackling burnout effectively requires a systemic approach — one that drives action at the personal, team and organisational levels.
This philosophy now underpins all my work. For the past 10 years, I’ve partnered with organisations to help employees, teams and leaders recognise stress earlier, talk about issues openly, and put in place focused action plans that create healthier, more sustainable workplaces.
Bold, Committed Leadership Is Essential
Lifting the lid on stress requires leaders who create space for honest conversations — and take responsibility for shaping environments that support wellbeing.
My mantra is simple: I only do successful projects.
Who I Work With
I work with organisations that are genuinely committed to meaningful change, not quick fixes
In a world where attracting and retaining talent is increasingly difficult, organisations that prioritise wellbeing will become employers of choice.
And that’s who I’m here to partner with.
